Tanjung Putting is one of Indonesia’s strategic reserves for endangered Orangutans. I journeyed there to investigate their plight and efforts to protect them.
Surin is home to the Surin Elephant Round-up, which takes place during the end of November each year. The festival is a multi-day event, starting with the "Elephant Buffet" or Elephant breakfast on the first day, and then is followed by elaborate battle re-enactments the following day.
Labuan Bajo and the Komodo area of Indonesia is a micro-version of a trip to Jurassic Park. Getting a huge dragon to come onto the beach for a photographical essay was a major, integral part of my adventure.
