The 300-plus temples of Angkor Wat are truly some of the most breathtaking in the world, but there is so much more to Cambodia, from the Hindu sculpted riverbeds of Phnom Kulen to the carved stone Buddhist ruins outside Phnom Penh for the chance to have a Khmer temple to yourself. Nothing pumps my adrenaline here quite like an escorted walk though a live mine clearing operation.
